Sudden Sam's 'Flaming Farewell'
The flame and fire extravaganza provided a stunning backdrop as the speedway legend brought the curtain down on a glittering career in front of a packed stadium. Fireworks in paradise! Champion of Champions - Plymouth August 2006
Jubilee Fireworks were winners of the British Fireworks Championships in 2003. In 2006, all eight of the previous winners competed 'head to head' for the UK firework industries most prestigious award to date. After a hard-fought contest on Plymouth breakwater, over two nights, our display was awarded first prize by a panel of expert and lay judges. Southport Summer Classics July 2006
The 'Southport Summer Classics' concert is one of the highlights of the summer season in the attractive Lancashire resort. Since 2005, Jubilee Fireworks have provided the pyrotechnic effects to accompany the rousing finale - presented by The Liverpool Philharmonic.Firing effectively to live music is a real challenge, but our experienced team delivered a superbly choreographed display using low-debris 'close proximity' fireworks. Restricted safety distances and fall-out zones limited the choice of pyrotechnic effects to small roman candles, mines, and specially designed comets. Events of this type prove the point that, with detailed product knowledge, it is possible to deliver a safe, spectacular fireworks show on the most demanding sites. Belfast Halloween Spectacular October 2005
Jubilee Fireworks were commissioned by Belfast City Council to stage their 2005 'Halloween Spectacular'. This is the largest annual display in Northern Ireland and, in 2005, the show was fired from the famous Harland and Woolfe shipyard (responsible for the 'Titanic').Appaling weather conditions made this a demanding rig and put our team under intense pressure. After much deliberation the show finally went ahead, with spectacular aerial fireworks bursting around the 'Goliath' crane. An immense waterfall, cascading downwards from the crane structure, was the highlight of the show. San Sebastian - 42nd Edition August 2005
The opening display of the 42nd International Fireworks Display Competition, at San Sebastian, was fired by Jubilee Fireworks.Having accepted an invitation to represent the UK in this prestigious event, we travelled across Europe (having fired a show in Italy two weeks earlier) to this beautiful Basque resort. Our display was greeted with enthusiastic applause and appreciation from the vast crowd, situated on the beach and along the promenade. The display was televised and we were greeted the next morning with a newspaper headline that endorsed the feeling of the critical Spanish audience “The English demonstrate their calibre”. 'Caput Lucis' Fireworks Contest August 2005
2005 was a vintage year for Jubilee's International team. In August, we staged a spectacular display at the 'Caput Lucis' competition, which takes place in the smart 'Fashion District' of Valmontone, a suburb of Rome. This event is by invitation only and other participants included Italy, France, Spain, Brazil and China. Jubilee's show was praised for its artistic presentation and the huge variety of effects employed. Our team of eight technicians worked through the night to prepare the colossal display - which was filmed as part of the 'Airport' documentary series. |
